29 and getting closer to 30 (which seems younger everyday). I'm a voracious reader, and my love for the written word can be traced by to my childhood when my mother would spend hours a day reading to me. My favorite book will forever remain Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, and my most prized-possession is a first-edition of the tome. Running a close second are the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, the Harry Potter world of J.K. Rowling and the Tempe Brennan novels by Kathy Reichs. Music is another love, music of all genres and from any corner of the world. I'm also a trained singer and love to perform, although now that my college days are behind me I mostly serenade my hubby and 20-month-old son (the cutest kid in the world!) I can't get enough of movies, either, though I could never pick a favorite. I luuvvv Gary Oldman, David Duchovny, David Boreanaz and Sean Connery so pretty much anything with them is lovely for me! I'm obsessed with Bones, Harry Potter, X-Files (my very first fanfic obssession from way back in high school) and - Heaven help me - One Tree Hill. I'm working on that last one, though. I also love history (my minor in college) and can get lost in a good Ren Faire, or even a decent documentary on the History Channel. I spent three weeks in Ireland several years ago, and that only solidified my love affair with the Celts. My husband has promised to take me to Scotland on our ten-year anniversary, where I hope to persuade him to don a kilt (not likely, but stranger things and all).
